Following its recent launch on PlayStation 5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has released a fresh update addressing several gameplay bugs and technical issues. The game is now officially Steam Deck verified, allowing fans to take the adventure on the go. Looking ahead, players can expect more treasure-hunting thrills in 2025, with the upcoming Order of Giants DLC slated as the next major content drop.
The game, which first debuted in 2024, has been praised for its immersive visuals, engaging gameplay, and detailed world-building. It’s already a hit for developer MachineGames and publisher Microsoft, and its arrival on PS5 has further broadened its audience. Alongside its PS5 release, the game’s latest patch—Update 4 Hotfix 2—introduces several key fixes.
This patch resolves issues specifically affecting PS5 users, such as problems with the DualSense controller’s Adaptive Triggers. A new menu option now allows players to adjust trigger strength. Other fixes include preventing item drops caused by D-pad interactions and resolving a bug where the Iraq cave door would lock players out of the main chamber.

Additional tweaks include a fix for the missing “Forgotten Page” activity note in Sunan’s hut in Sukhothai, and a long-standing issue with the “Archivist” achievement has also been addressed. Players who already completed the requirements will now automatically receive the achievement.
With a strong debut year behind it, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set for an even bigger 2025. Between its expanded platform reach and upcoming Order of Giants DLC, fans of Henry Jones Jr. can look forward to new adventures, mysteries, and locales. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed, more information is expected this summer.
Update 4 Hotfix 2 – Summary of Key Fixes

This hotfix addresses several gameplay bugs and controller-related issues, improving stability and player experience across platforms:
- Item Loss Fix: Resolved a bug where rapidly switching equipped items using the D-pad while picking up other objects could cause essential gear (like the camera, lighter, or whip) to disappear permanently. Items lost this way should be automatically restored upon launching the game with the hotfix applied.
- Iraq Cave Access Restored: Fixed an issue where players revisiting the Iraq level would find the cave door unexpectedly shut, blocking access to the main chamber.
- DualSense Controller Improvements:
- Adjusted the Adaptive Triggers to eliminate subtle clicking noises when looking at friendly NPCs.
- A new menu option now lets players modify trigger strength or disable Adaptive Triggers entirely.
- Steam Controller Settings: On PC, Steam Input is now disabled by default for PlayStation controllers, helping more players experience DualSense features. Players who prefer Steam Input can reenable it in the Controller section of the game’s Steam Properties.
- Sukhothai Note Fix: Addressed an issue where the “Forgotten Page” note might not appear in Sunan’s hut if it wasn’t picked up earlier at the hotel.
- Archivist Achievement: Fixed one of the bugs preventing the “Archivist” achievement from unlocking. Players should now receive it automatically after launching the game. If the issue persists, Bethesda Support encourages players to report their experience.
