A Cyberpunk 2077 player recently encountered a strange glitch that teleported them halfway across the Watson district, landing them right outside Judy’s apartment with an unsettling view of her. The incident, which quickly caught attention on social media, highlights the reality that even after years of updates and improvements, no game is ever completely free of bugs.
Although Cyberpunk 2077 had a notoriously rough launch, the game has undergone massive changes, with tons of new content, major quality-of-life upgrades, and a deeply overhauled leveling system, setting a new bar for single-player RPGs.
Still, even with all its improvements, the game isn’t entirely immune to odd bugs. Reddit user Curilan_ experienced this firsthand when they pulled up to The Afterlife, one of the game’s most iconic bars. After exiting their light blue Quadra Turbo-R 740, the screen suddenly transitioned to a loading screen. When it ended, they found themselves mysteriously transported across Watson, standing in front of Judy’s apartment.
Cyberpunk 2077 Unexpected Teleportation Glitch Caught on Video

Adding to the strangeness of the moment, when the game finished loading, Judy appeared under eerie lighting with an unsettling expression, prompting some Cyberpunk 2077 fans to nickname her “creepy Judy.” Upon reviewing Curilan_’s shared footage frame-by-frame, it looks like their character, V, was launched into the air after approaching The Afterlife. The teleportation seemed to trigger once they reached a certain altitude, likely causing the game world to partially unload. However, it’s still unclear why the game transported them specifically to Judy’s apartment instead of another location in Night City.
The bug was most likely encountered on PC, given that the footage shows keyboard-and-mouse prompts (though console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 have supported mouse and keyboard input since 2022). Still, it’s possible that whatever strange interaction caused the glitch could affect other platforms as well.
Since this appears to be the first reported instance of the teleportation bug, it seems unlikely that CD Projekt Red will prioritize a fix. However, given how the developers have occasionally released unexpected patches even after official support was thought to have ended, there’s always a chance it could be addressed in the future.
