Pokémon GO Unveils GO Pass Rewards for May, part of its ongoing monetisation strategy that offers players new ways to earn extra bonuses like tickets and item boxes.
Following the release of the Tour Pass for GO Tour: Unova, Niantic introduced a similar system with the GO Pass in April. Unlike the Power-Up Ticket, which rewards players for completing specific tasks, the GO Pass grants rewards for participating in almost any in-game activity. In April, the highlight was an encounter with Xerneas, the Legendary Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y. With the second GO Pass now announced, players will have another rare Pokémon opportunity.
The May GO Pass will be available from Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. until Tuesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Trainers in select regions will receive a free pass and can earn GO Points by completing tasks to level up and unlock rewards like Stardust, XP, Poké Balls, Candy, and an encounter with Yveltal — the powerful counterpart to Xerneas from the Kalos region. Players can also purchase the GO Pass Deluxe from the Pokémon GO Web Store, which includes both free rewards and premium bonuses like Candy XL, Premium Battle Passes, Incense, extra encounters, Lure Modules, and a Lucky Trinket.
