Mob Entertainment announced Poppy Playtime Chapter 4’s release date. The horror community has loved the independent series since its 2021 debut.
The Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 cinematic teaser announces a January 2025 release. Players may now add Chapter 4 to their Steam wishlist to be notified when it launches in 2025. In a press release, Mob Entertainment founders guarantee that Chapter 4 will be the scariest:

The Poppy Playtime Legend for Chapter 4
Poppy Playtime begins with a VHS video and letter notifying the protagonist that their former Playtime Co. comrades, who were considered lost, are still at the abandoned factory. The protagonist needs the GrabPack to escape Poppy Playtime’s monstrous toys in the decaying building. After rescuing Poppy from her glass container in Chapter 1, the protagonist discovers Playtime Co.’s dark truths during the following two chapters.
Chapter 2 reveals many secret aspects about Poppy Playtime and helps the protagonist understand Playtime Co.’s research. Chapter 3 shows the atrocities of Playtime Co. and their experiments on orphans as the protagonist explores Playcare and gets closer to the mysterious Prototype. Chapter 3 reveals that the Prototype resents them for not being at work during the Hour of Joy.
Chapter 3 closes with the protagonist seeing the Prototype murder CatNap and taking the elevator into Playtime Co.’s underbelly with Poppy Playtime, hearing Kissy Missy crying above them. Chapter 4 may follow up on the closing scene of Chapter 3 and what Poppy Playtime informs the protagonist, which is the Prototype’s lair.
Our Take On Poppy Playtime Chapter 4
The review of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3’s finale suggests that Playtime Co.’s Underbelly will be scarier than any other region the protagonist has visited. The Prototype moves the defeated toys’ bodies, and Mommy Long Legs threatens he’ll make her part of him. Based on this information and the press release’s confirmation of familiar faces returning, Chapter 4’s horror will likely be toys recreated by the Prototype, promising a terrifying and unsettling experience for players who return to Poppy Playtime Chapter 4.
