In announcing their partnership with AirAsia, SEGA, and Atlus unveiled a stunning custom aircraft incorporating Persona 5 Royal characters and graphics. This initiative will send Persona 5 Royal to the skies, delighting gamers and airplane fans alike.
Persona 5 Royal is an enhanced version of the well-known turn-based role-playing game Persona 5, released by Atlus. The game was first released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2019 and worldwide in 2020. In 2022, it was also released for the PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. Persona 5 Royal follows the Phantom Thieves, a group of high school students who use supernatural abilities to transform the hearts of corrupt people. Fans of Persona 5 Royal are excitedly awaiting a new entry in this cherished franchise, which is frequently regarded as one of the greatest contemporary turn-based role-playing games.
SEGA and Atlus revealed a jet with Persona 5 Royal artwork as part of their partnership with AirAsia. With the phrases “Take your time and enjoy your flight” and “Take the sky,” the aircraft has Joker and Morgana on either side of the fuselage. The aircraft’s two sides have the Persona 5 Royal logo and its recognizable red-and-black design. For Persona series fans, SEGA posted a video demonstrating how their partnership transformed a simple commercial aircraft into this amazing custom aircraft.

This partnership is not the first time businesses have used video game characters to personalize airplanes. All Nippon Airways and Pokemon recently collaborated to develop a new safety film for their aircraft. With Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Machamp, and numerous other pocket animals demonstrating the plane’s safety features and regulations, this film sought to educate passengers on what they need to know when flying so they may enjoy their journey in peace.
In 2025, fans of the Persona series can anticipate hearing more about the next developments in this cherished franchise. Despite Persona 6’s absence from The Game Awards 2024, many hope for additional details about the game this year. The gacha spin-off of Persona 5, Persona 5: The Phantom X, is now available in open beta in a few places, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and South Korea. Fans are left wondering what the future holds for the series, though, as Atlus has not yet revealed any intentions to release this game in the West.
